Recently, I have significantly down sized my handbag size & it's been great! I was a little worried I wouldn't have everything I needed but I quickly realised I don't really need that much while I'm out anyway & if I did need something, chances are I have it in my car. 

I'm currently using the most gorgeous yet simple crossbody bag by Whistle. It's called the 'Origami Mini Crossbody Bag'. It actually fits a lot more than I fit anticipated it would & it can also be used as a clutch depending on the look you're going for. 

In my handbag a keep my phone, a card holder, personal & work keys, lip balm, hand sanitiser & a pen. Super minimal & simple but it's everything I really need while I'm out & about. What are some of the things you are currently keeping in your handbag?

Makeup & Outfit | Ed Sheeran Concert

Most of you will be well aware now that I had the privilege to see Ed Sheeran live while he was in New Zealand. I haven't been to many concerts but his by far was the best. His presence on stage was incredible and they way he interacted with his audience was something I'd never seen before. I'd highly recommend going to see him live if you're able to because it was definitely well worth it. With that all being said I thought I'd share with you what I wore clothing and makeup wise.

What's In My Backpack

A few months ago I brought myself a backpack and it's a Laura Jones Small Quilted Backpack. It's the perfect size for everything I want to carry around on a everyday basis and more. It retails for $50 NZD and I think that's super affordable for the quality of bag you're getting. 

I carry the bare basics in my handbag and I try not to hoard receipts and rubbish in my bag. I permanently keep things likes my favourite hand cream which is currently the Essano Nourishing Hand Cream, lip balm, headphones, a face powder, hair tie and all those kinds of bits and pieces. 

I also keep my wallet, Kikki K Textured Leather Card Holder, my keys, a water bottle and my phone. I don't carry too much with me which means that my bag stays light but it also leaves room if I need to taking anything specific with me on any given day.

Style Staple: White Converse

Converse and I have a bit of a history. I remember begging my parents for a pair of the Converse All Star Hi Plimsolls in Black, in fact if I remember correctly I think I've had two pairs of these in the past. I also remember having a pair Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Core Black Mono Trainers. And while I loved both pairs of shoes, my love for Converse had kind of dwindled until I recently picked up a pair of the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Core White Ox Trainers. 

I don't think I've ever been so happy with how well one pair of shoes can go with so many outfits. They're a little chicer than your normal sports trainer and I find them just as comfortable.

Shit I Keep In My Handbag

I'm going to keep this post quick but I thought I would discuss some of the shit I carry around with me. I ain't going to lie I keep a lot of unnecessary shit in my bag but in saying that, it's a comforting feeling knowing I have bits & pieces in my handbag if I need them, in case of an emergency. 

My handbag at the moment is a little black rucksack/backpack. There's no specific brand to it, I believe it was homemade & I bought it from a little boutique by the beach here in Nelson. I'm sure you'd be able to find something similar or more specifically tailored to your style, online. I guess it's just about finding something you really like & are going to enjoy using. 

To start with I have the basics like, wallet, keys, cellphone, spare phone charger plus the wall plug, lip balm & hand cream. But because my eyes don't work properly I also have to carry with me at least two pairs of glasses which include sunglasses & reading glasses. Headphones are always something I tend to have in my handbag as well because I think they're handy to just have on you if you need them. 

When it comes to the unnecessary items, they include several small perfumes & lip balms. I have a compact mirror, hand sanitiser, tissues & several loyalty cards where the majority of them never get used but if it means there's an opportunity to save money, your girl will have it!
